I love rigident and am disappointed that you no longer make.. PLEASE bring it back… my teeth NEED it…some on-line sites have it for sale, it you can afford 25.00 for a 3oz bottle. I can’t afford that.

My husband has been using Rigident powder for years and he always had problems with heartburn. When the grocery store ran out of Rigident, low and behold his heartburn went away. As an experiment, he found an old bottle of Ridident and dusted his dentures to see what would happen. Instant heartburn. So, now he goes without an adhesive and he is heartburn free!

I just don’t understand how you can do this to your loyal customers. I have used rigident for 35 years and I had bought it online for 5.99 for 1 and I bought 20 bottles after I found out you quite making it and now I go online and what they do have left is selling for $25.00 a bottle. This is just not right. Rigident is the only product that works for me and believe me I have tried them all. I am begging you start manufacturing rigident again. Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too have been searching. I can not find Toms on the web although I saw it the other day. I was told by a lady who works for Glaxo that I should try Polygrip extra strength powder. That is free of chemicals but can not find what it is made of. Anyone know.

yeah 20 yrs i’ve used it only thing that works, got about 12 bottles left, very sad these corporations could care less about people i don’t know what i will do now wish someone would try to buy the business these jerks, there must be millions of folks in the same boat. Seems like it would be profitable with so many needing it. this Polident crap is worthless always was.

Yes, Ridgident was best. and Yes, it seems INSANE to discontinue it. I am miserable enough as it is, just HAVING to wear these damn things, w/o them needing to be glued every damn time I put ANYTHING in my mouth to eat! Never mind to just speak! I find something that’s at least made it tolerable -then they TAKE IT AWAY! Cruelty to the tenth degree!

I too, have used rigident for almost 40 years, as well as other family members, and am so grateful to find something without oozy-ness. Now I find it’s discontinued…never easily found it in stores..only at Walgreens,CVS, and Safeway. Then ALWAYS, almost hidden on top or bottom shelf..I wrote to them about that…always feeling if they advertised it, or showed it better, people would buy it in droves. A few months ago I ordered it on-line; 3 bottles for $17.00,shipping included! Now, it’s advertised on amazon for $165.00…what IS this????? PLEASE HELP ME EXPOSE THIS…THERE MUST BE AN ATTORNEY OUT THERE WHO WEARS DENTURES AND UNDERSTANDS OUR PLIGHT….THIS CANNOT BE!!

Hi Alicia, Unfortunately, I don't know what to suggest for you. Pretty much all of the denture products on the market today have some form or another of chemical in them. Klutch is about the most natural thing out there (now that they've discontinued Rigident), but if salicylates are a problem for you (I'm assuming, since you mentioned aspirin), then even it would be a non-starter. There is one reline product on the market which got very poor reviews - this product - but that looks like it at least offers an idea for you. The reviewers specifically said it looked like the product seemed to be pure paraffin wax. Now, while I might not recommend that you grab a box of Gulf Wax and start using it (since paraffin wax IS a petroleum by-product), you might try something a little more natural, like this cosmetic grade beeswax. While it is likely a less-than-perfect solution in that you'll probably have to replace it pretty often, it might at least cushion your gums and make life with a partial bearable. I have been hoping for years now that one of the major producers of organic and natural products would take a stab at a denture adhesive, as you can see in my article about the lack of organic denture adhesives, I firmly believe there is a gap in the marketplace. Of course, more than likely any such product would still use a mint flavoring, which would - you guessed it - put it right out of the running for someone with a salicylate sensitivity. I am sorry I don't have a better answer for you, but again I issue my plea to the organic & natural manufacturers: Get off your duffs! There's a real need here! -Michelle (site owner)
